The Funk Motorsport Gold HeatTape has been produced for by popular demand to protect specifically bulkheads, firewalls, under bonnet (under hood), fuel tanks/fuel cells and other bodywork prone to extensive heat exposure.Our specially developed Gold Glass fibre tape can reflect away up to80% of all radiant heat whilst working in constant and ambient temperatures of up to 450°C.Sheets can provide a neat application over large areas of coverage. When used correctly, the Gold Heat Wrap can be used to dramatically cool intake pipes and in turn increase induction performance due to the cooler airflow. Gold tape can also be used to protect vital components or bulkheads from heat sink from engines, exhaust pipes and other components. Fitment Instructions
Ensure the area for fitment is clean from all debris and is dry from any alcohol cleaner or detergent used.-Measure the length required on one strip.-Cut the strip from the roll and remove the backing of the entire strip.-For pipework, ensure the strips overlap on the side, which is not exposed.-On flat areas, or areas which are not curved apply the tape in a straight line. Start at one end and work along, applying even pressure across the strip to ensure no creases are applied.-Make sure there are no creases when applying a second strip.-Overlap the Gold tape by around 5-10mm when applying the second strip.-Cut the tape into thinner strips when we come to a tighter or more complex areas. 10mm is optimal for very thin strips.-Continue this process until the area is complete.
